Hi, my name is Jyll and I a have a diverse background. I like to say, “I’m a Jyll of all trades.” Lol. Not even close. My background does include a degree in accounting, over 20 years in corporate America as well as working in the spa industry for over a decade, which includes being a spa director, massage therapist and yoga instructor. See, quite diverse!
During my years working in corporate america, and losing myself to the demands and deadlines in this world. I have since created a very balanced lifestyle, and one that I am in love with. I now watch too many of my friends feel stressed and out of balance. I wanted to create a space where my creativity can flow and share ways to create a more balanced, happy, zen life.
What is Zen? To me, it’s be able to live fully present in your moments without judgment. It is finding what makes you happy; resonating in peace and joy. A few examples of what zen is to me:
- Being on my yoga mat
- Sharing a bottle of wine with a dear friend and catching up.
- Exploring and traveling to new places with my husband and/or friends
- Cuddling with my husky love
- A completed task list
- Living each day within my ethics and morals
- Sharing my soul-shine with others
I intend to cover a wide range of topics in my blog including yoga, meditation, travel, wine, spa reviews and whatever else crosses my path or mind that makes me smile or creates a little more zen in my life.
A note on Spa Reviews:
My passion has always been for the spa industry. My husband and I talk about sailing the world in retirement and I joke how he shall drop me off in the marinas and I will explore all the spas that town has to offer and I will write spa reviews. However, since I now have this blog, why wait until retirement? I will also use my blog to review all the spas I visit now! I’m so excited!
